Today we dive into the unique 'I spring along program'. This program is one of the high-profile projects of Team Heartbeats, in collaboration with a.s.r. It was developed with one goal in mind: to strengthen the resilience of the policyholders of a.s.r. Within this program we delve deeply into the five themes of resilience: Meaningfulness, Positive emotions, Social support, Coping with change, and Physical condition. But what exactly does this mean? And how can it help you in your daily life?
When you think about resilience, what thoughts come to mind? At Team Heartbeats, we consider resilience a muscle, and in today's society, resilience is extremely important. The fact is that everything around us is constantly changing. Currently, nearly 2 million working people are on the verge of burnout, which is a sad record, as is the current rate of absenteeism, which is also at record levels. At the same time, recent CBS figures show that there is a significant tightness in the labor market. We have to do more and more work with fewer people, resulting in a vicious circle of increasing work pressure and absenteeism(Fabrique, 2023)
Just as you train the muscles in your body, you can also train and strengthen your resilience. But how exactly do you do that? Being resilient means being able to stay positive, forward-looking and strong despite setbacks. It's all about the ability to recover and deal with challenges, change and stress. And just like exercising your body muscles, emotions also play a role in strengthening your resilience. Experiencing and accepting these emotions is a crucial first step toward becoming a more resilient you.
The launch of the "I Resume Program" was a special moment. For six weeks, every week, participants received an e-mail focused on one of five resilience themes. These emails were filled with assignments, tips and a video to strengthen their resilience. In addition, participants were able to complete a short online resilience test. This test allowed them to discover where they were already strong and where there was still room for growth. It was an exciting time, full of new insights and the promise of personal growth. That is the wonderful thing about the 'I am resilient' program: you start with small steps, but the impact is enormous.
We know that resilience is not just about the "big" issues in life. It's also about the small, everyday things. That's why, in addition to the five resilience themes, we also have blogs written together with a.s.r. on topics relevant to resilience. Think about buying your first house, pregnancy, informal care and grief & loss. These topics were chosen based on participants' needs. In each blog, a resilience expert from Team Heartbeats shared five tips on how to deal with these themes more resiliently. In this way, participants were able to gain even more depth and insight into resilience themes when they needed it.
One of the highlights of the "I feather along" program was undoubtedly the webinar. During this online event we took participants through the heartwarming autobiographical story of Niek van den Adel, together with our trainer from Team Heartbeats. It was an evening full of inspiration, insights and unforgettable moments. But it was also an opportunity for participants to interact with experts in the field of resilience. They were able to ask questions, share experiences and further deepen their knowledge about resilience. The webinar was more than just a "lecture. It was an opportunity to learn, grow and truly experience the power of resilience.
After attending the webinar, participants had the opportunity to sign up for a coaching program. This was a great opportunity to go deeper into the five resilience themes and move from inspiration to actual activation. The coaching program also provided personalized guidance to address specific challenges that participants were individually facing. This is the power of coaching: it gives you the tools and guidance you need to make real changes in your life. And that's what the "I'm Resilient Program" is all about: inspiring you to take action and strengthen your resilience.
Did you know that everyone's resilience is unique? That's why we developed the resilience test developed. This online test helps you gain insight into your personal resilience. It shows on which of the five resilience themes you are already strong and where there is still room for growth. These insights are crucial. This is why participants could fill out the Resilience Test at the beginning of the 'Ik Veer Mee-program' in order to work in a focused way! They help you work more purposefully on your resilience.
